A family-owned home, not a rental portfolio
Furnished Rentals Indy is one house in Whitestown, Indiana, owned and personally managed by the Umpleby family. There is no property manager and no call centre between you and us — when you email or call, you reach the people who own the home.
Why we only do 30+ day stays
We are not a weekend rental. Almost everyone who stays with us is here because of something significant: a hospital assignment, a work project, a relocation, an insurance claim after damage to their own home, or a gap between houses. Those are stays measured in months, and they need a different kind of place than a hotel room or a short-let apartment.
That is why the house has a real kitchen with a full pantry, laundry in the home, two dedicated workstations, a fenced backyard and parking that does not require a permit. Those are not amenities on a list — they are the things that decide whether month three of an assignment feels liveable.
We change the house to fit the people in it
The clearest example: the home originally had a gym. When a construction superintendent needed to keep his whole crew together under one roof, we converted it into a fifth bedroom so the team did not have to split across two places. That is the advantage of a family running one house rather than a company running fifty — we can actually say yes to things.
